Lighting Components Recycling
Lighting components recycling. As stewards of the environment, we are dedicated to ensuring that lighting components are properly disposed of during retrofit applications. We partner with providers who use advanced, automated, dry-separation processes to separate lamp waste into glass, metals and mercury-contaminated phosphor powder. Through these processes, roughly 96% of total bulb weight is recovered as glass; 2% as aluminum; less than 2% as phosphor powder; and less than 1% as mercury for refining. Lamp ballast are separated by type and decontaminated as needed to remove poly-chlorinated biphenyls for recycling, incineration or disposal.
